Rating by category:
Probably the location, and the customer service
Price was a little steep for what was on offer, All the In room bar food and most of the drinks were out of date by at least 5 months, which was disgusting especially for a "high class hotel", room had drawings on the wall which were never cleaned, and the paint was bad,
Happy friendly staff, great meals, great value for money
the staff were helpful and the restaurant was superb
Value for money, friendliness of staff and excellent breakfasts and tapas at restaurant.
Reception staff were young, welcoming, friendly but lacked knowledge of Sydney .
We liked the friendly staff, clean and modern rooms.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating, particularly as my daughter was not well and I had to rush home and bring her back to the hotel to stay with us for the night.
We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs in Rydges and I didn't think the food was particularly good. I felt the iPad thing was gimmicky and it didn't give us a chance to ask questions about the dinner. The lady who served us just seemed too busy and not very friendly. I will definitely book Rydges North Sydney again for another business meeting but will organise dinner outside the hotel next time.
The location was great for the purpose which I was in Sydney for.
The rooms were very noisey due to poor sound insulation between rooms. The bathroom was moldy and the general finish of the decor was poor.
the pass keys wuld not activate the parking entry for some reason there was only one towel in the room & when i questioned it i waited over half an hour to get another.
The convenience to the City and the convenience to my family on the lower North Shore. Also, the parking is great and access from the parking area to the street is easy. We had a balcony with glimpses of the water which was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable.
I felt the bathroom could do with a bit more of an update. Also the hot water in the basin was brown which was a bit off-putting. My husband thought the pillows were too soft, although I thought they were fine. I feel very strongly that in this day and age you should not have to pay for the Internet.
Not too far from City centre and main tourist attractions
No view from "parkview" side
The service and food in the restaurant was very poor. When you have to ask for drinks twice, very poor service. Food so overpriced for what we had.
Having to pay for internet. Even in third world countries internet is free. The policy was changed around the second or third week of August. Lighting in the room is inadequate. One cannot manage the airconditioing/heating system. It is pre-set by the hotel. So, in my case, I froze. In other words, for a developed country, the hotel has some third world country issues which need improvement
I only stayed one night but I thought it was value for money and very comfortable, staff very friendly and would certaimnly stay again.
The location was good for my business needs; the parking charges were reasonable; the restaurant offered a good variety; and the staff were friendly.
I found the staff at Rydges friendly and very helpfull. The room was very comfortable and the dinning at the restaurant a must. The food was very impressive both the Saturday night and breakfast the next morning. We will definitely be back.
